Weekend in Prague: Beer, Trains and History

Greetings from Prague 🍻

Prague is located in the beautiful country of Chez Republic. Prague is, simply put, a beer lover's paradise. There are over 40 breweries and brewpubs in Prague. Pilsner is still king in Prague. During our time in Prague we wanted to learn more on the production of the local Pilsner. We visited the Pilsner Urquell Original Beer Experience Museum. Located in the heart of Old Town. A multimedia sensory attraction presenting the unique story of Pilsner Urquell beer.

To maximize your experience, you will be given headphones to hear the story of Pilsner.
Part of the sensory experience you can smell the wheat and hops that are used to make this unique beer.
Fun Fact- with your ticket to the museum experience, you will be offered 3 beers to taste! Raise your hand if you would like to have a taste of beer mid museum experience beer 🍻  During your tasting you will learn a bit more about the history of the original story of how Pilsner came to be such a Prague favorite.
After our tour of the museum we sat in the museum's pub to enjoy pub snacks and our 2 complimentary tasting of beer. You will be given 2 coins at the start of your visit and once you have completed the tour you are invited to sit in the pub and enjoy a beer of your liking.

Your choice of how you would like your beer served.

If you enjoy a beer museum check out my post on the A Le Coq beer museum in Estonia. This multi sensory museum also offers a free tasting mid museum.
  Cheers🍻
After our beer museum experience we enjoyed walking around Prague's Old Town.
Prague has all the elements of a real life fairytale. Castles, cobblestone streets, and enchanting architecture.
Our time in Prague was mostly spent walking these unique streets and enjoying the walk through time. All streets in Old Town lead to the bustling Old Market Square. People have been enjoying this area since the eleventh century. Enjoy and step back into time. Highlights are Týn Cathedral, St. Nicholas Cathedral and Astronomical clock.

Old Town is much more than just the Old Market Square. You will also find the market stalls, luxury shopping, delicious restaurants and of course don't miss the romantic Charles bridge.

After all that walking we got a little hungry and stop into Výtopna Restaurant. Where your meal is delivered to you on a train. Yes, I said that right. The resturant tables are lined with real train tracks. Mini trains will deliver your drinks and meal. Once you enter the restaurant you are given a "Train Ticket" with your table number. Find your seat, order your food and drinks and sit back and wait for a train to deliver you meal. Super fun experience in Prague.
All Aboard! 🚂
What did we Order?  Chicken with a side of sweet potato puree and tomato salad.
Bacon jam hamburger with a side of fries.
Everything was delicious.
We ended our time in Prague on a sweet note.  Chimney Cakes or locally known as Trdelnik. Layers of dough are spun on a cylinder and baked. Once ready they are dipped in sugar and inside you will find a variety of fillings. Seasonal fruit, ice cream and chocolate! YUM!!

Thank you Prague for a sweet & magical weekend
❤️🍻
