After researching vacation spots in Mexico.
Puerto Vallarta seemed like the perfect fit for our family.
We decided on Puerto Vallarta for its culture, adventure and food.
We love the Meliá Hotel company. (Stayed in Zanzibar and Dominican Republic) And when I found out they have property in Mexico we were all in.
Melia Puerto Vallarta is located about 10 mins from the International Airport.
Its a large ocean front property. Melia hotels have kids activities and adult entertaiment in the evening. The Melia is an all inclusive resort. And we took FULL ADVANTAGE of everything they had to offer! From playing ping pong on the terrace, volleyball in the pool, to eating nachos under the palm trees. We had a fun and relaxing time.
During our 4 days in Mexico we booked a tour to go horseback riding to a waterfall. Followed by a cooking class. We made salsa and learned how to make tortillas from scratch on an outside oven.
Super unique experience for our family in Mexico.

Horseback Riding to a Waterfall
We decided to take a Horseback Riding Day Tour.
We started on a twenty minute bus ride to Rancho Capomo.
Once we arrived were given a short horseback riding lesson, helmets and were off to explore the beauty of the Sierra Madres. We rode through lush gardens and crossed rivers.
We enjoyed the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation.
As we traveled through the countryside we crossed over to a waterfall.

After the short hike to the waterfall, we rode back to the Ranch for a cooking class
and demonstration on tortilla making.
We were given a spicy chili, fresh lime, tomatoes, onion and cucumber to chop in a bowl. We mixed it all together and instantly, we have salsa. |
Handmade tortillas made on an homemade outside oven. They were so fresh and delicious.
After we made tortillas it was time for us to sit down and enjoy our lunch. Carne asada, chicken, beans, rice, tortillas, guacamole and
salsa.
Cheers to me not falling off the horse! |
Thank you Melia, Puerto Vallarta for a magical family vacation and helping us to create memories around the world. |
