The Hedon Spa in Pärnu is located about two hours from the capital city of Tallinn.
Pärnu is a sea side city. A little escape and relaxation from the
hustle and bustle of the busy city.
hustle and bustle of the busy city.
Over the weekend we (my Husband and I) had the pleasure of taking a little road trip to the city of Pärnu, home of the Historical Mud Baths.

Hedon Hotel and Spa has so much history. The Mud Baths can be traced back to 1838, the bathing house by the sea offered warm sea baths in the summer and
hot saunas in the winter.

A scrap book located in the Sun Spa |
In the Soviet era, the Mud Baths started to serve the health of the working people. After Estonia gained its Independence the resort became deserted and lost its function. In 2014 a cozy Boutique Spa opened in the Historic Mud Bath building.

We had a wonderful experience at the Spa. Once you arrive you are in for a treat. We were greeted with a welcome bottle of Champagne and Chocolates from their in house restaurant Raimond. The chocolates were absolutely delicious,
my favorite was the coconut.
Our room was cozy with a balcony and a partial view of the ocean. I can imagine how wonderful it is in the summer to sit outside and listen to the ocean.
(We went in November)
A added bonus, our floors were heated. The
king size bed was comfortable and the pillows were plush.

We sat in the Sun Room first. living here in Estonia for the past two months, I've learned the power of the SUN!!!
And boy does this California girl miss her SUNLIGHT!
Basically you sit on lounge chairs and enjoy the artificial sun light.
After a little sun I was off to my massage. What can I say. It was perfect.
And exactly what I needed.
After the massage we were able to enjoy the sun a little more. Then we headed to the Saunas. Living in Estonia, I have quickly adapted to the Sauna Lifestyle. The heat against my skin feels amazing!
